Captain Conley was killed in a car accident as he and his partner were responding to a burglary alarm. As they were responding, a truck made a left turn in front of the cruiser. The cruiser struck the side of the truck, causing it burst into flames. The driver of the truck was also killed in the accident. Captain Conley was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries. His partner was admitted to the hospital in serious condition. Captain Conley is survived by his parents and his sister.
